Author Renee Wiggins Being Fabulously FIT in God’s Kingdom: a 40-day Journey to Wellness

Fabulously FIT is a hit for the well-being getting physically lean, and abiding to the biblical principles when it comes to our spiritual, mental, and physical vital link. I have been reading numerous health-related and weight loss books, but this one is a winner in my eyes because God is always in my equation of which she included in her daily regimens when it comes to total fitness. There is a 40-day journey; like the Israelites in the wilderness had a 40 day process until they were able to abide to the will of God. We have to abide our bodies to God’s Word. Moreover, our bodies take time to get back in shape and to be fit. So we have to be patient with ourselves, and get our mindsets right.

I know that many of us have lost sight of God’s true intention for our bodies, for He views it as a “living sacrifice” and moreover our bodies are a “temple” unto Him. Renee Wiggins cleverly reminds us how we have abused our bodies and can reverse the process and get back fit with purpose.

Wiggins wrote a simplified plan to get our portion size under control, exercises that are doable, and thought-provoking concepts to consider in our daily lives when it comes to food intake and weight-loss results. She doesn’t focus on how to lose weight, but how to get your body recharged and revived to prevent the common health issues associated with dining out or bad eating habits without exercise. She gives a prime example of spending $35 on all three meals, to only fill our bodies with salt, sugar, and fat! This terrified me, when luckily I would get 1-2 meals occasionally on the go but last year I have considered eating healthier such as stopping at Subway instead of McDonald’s, but when money is low–will go to the alternative fast food spots but will get a chicken snack wrap and side salad. Now these fast food places have calories where you know what you are putting in your bodies from the beginning. No more excuses, and can go online to see the intake (which I do now). Wiggins suggests to pack your lunch, with economy today and not paid for your worth, we have to bag it instead of buy it.

This is a perfect DIVINE blend, especially those who do not want another diet, weight loss book; follow their plan to see results for your body (which most of the time I don’t like to be tied to their meals), and short chapters that you can read daily to soak in all this wealth of knowledge…priceless. She even shared beneficial ideas and things I’ve never knew or considered such as wet sneakers to how to preserve them! I will do this next time it happens to me, and find walking shoes instead of just stylish tennis shoes. She’s also been a guest on my radio programs: DYRP Midnight Hour “Release the Weight” and also Dream4More Radio to speak about the review itself. She also is in our “Release the Weight” Facebook group to give wise advice and health tips too.
