Knowing the season of your Journey

In this specific season of our Journey, we must be careful to appreciate the unique gifts offered to us.  The people in our lives who love us unconditionally.  The words of encouragement that propel us forward to our next level.  And the seemingly “small things” that put a genuine smile on our faces.  Let’s remember that “thanksgiving” is not meant to just be a “special day.”  It is meant to be a state of being for God’s creation.  Every aspect of our lives should consistently show our thankfulness and grateful hearts.  Through loving and caring expressions to the Father and to one another, we live as thankful beings.  Each day we reveal our thankfulness, not just once a month.

A life of praise is vital to a successful journey.  We must not wait to praise in response to an event, but praise must be what we do!  I have committed to say at least one “praise phrase” each day from here on out.  Our praises are our testimonies to the greatness of our God.  Our praises witness to His faithfulness.  Your very presence should prompt others to be thankful.  As you share yourself and your journey, others will see how fulfilled and whole you are.  As a result, they will desire to have their longings fulfilled also.

Always be mindful of His presence in your life.  The Father provides constant mercy and grace for your Journey.  His love is unfailing.  No matter what is going on, always give thanks.  Every situation is for the purpose of carrying you further on your Journey.  It will also push you closer to your Journey’s end.  Your daily walk reflects the light of God within you.  As you travel with a spirit of thanksgiving, others will see the glory that surrounds you.  Everywhere you walk, you step into a blessing.   As you remain thankful, you will walk into blessings that you won’t even have to ask for.

As we near the end of our Journey together, let us look back at from where we have come.  We have come from a place of barrenness to a place of overflow.  For these things we are thankful.

Wow!  We are at the end of another year.  Our Journey has not been easy, but we made it.  We are triumphant!  Lessons have been learned and will not be forgotten.  We have stretched and we have grown.  As we celebrate the birth of our Savior we do so in the Spirit of Love.  This month will always be one of happiness and sorrow for me.  It is the month that the first man I ever loved, my Daddy, transitioned to his heavenly resting place.  That was meant to kill me, but instead it made me better.  What seemed to be an ending was actually a beginning of a divine shift for me.  I am convinced that my latter days will be greater!
