Living out your Purpose on Purpose!

After watching T.D. Jakes sermon on “Instinct to Increase, part 3″ on YouTube, the startling question asked was ‘Could your process hinder your purpose?’ You could go on for hours trying to analyze and find the underlying factor which underlines what processes that may hinder or enhance your purpose. First we have to identify what is our purpose. There are tons of books that will try to help you narrow down your purpose such as personality intelligence tests, reading books like “Purpose Driven” and “the Secret” which deals with law of attraction and identifying what drives you and motivates you. But the Word of God also tells us our purpose as believers of Jesus Christ.
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart for my holy purpose. I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5).
“Their purpose is to prepare God’s people to serve and to build up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12).
“The purpose of these troubles is to test your faith as fire tests how genuine gold is. Your faith is more precious than gold, and by passing the test, it gives praise, glory, and honor to God” (1 Peter 1:7).
Once you hone in your purpose, then we move to preparation. There are ladders of preparation in order to obtain our goals that tie to our purpose. Some of us have more than one purpose, but we need to focus on the one thing that speaks to us the most even when we try to ignore it. After preparation and gaining knowledge, insight, and wise in this area, we would move to living out our purpose on purpose. Therefore, are we living in our purpose? Jeremiah 29:11 clearly tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
One scripture generally used on “talents” is found in Matthew 25, looking at the second parable given in verses 14-30. There was one who had one talent and buried it. Why do you think this person hid their talents? There are various explanations to verify why the talent was hidden. Some would view this hypothesis to why the talent was hidden was simply because he only had one, and didn’t feel adequate or sufficient like the others who had more than one. Yet, if we omit the numerical value, then we can only inwardly view their talent as another factor. Now we are looking at inner value instead of numerical value. There are many who can relate to this explanation. So this person buried what needed to be exposed which was their talent! We hear about too many who have died have buried their talents with them, and it was never exposed. Therefore, what needed to be buried was the person’s FEAR and should have exposed their TALENT. Now review your life up to date, what have you feared the most that hasn’t showcased your talents (or gifts).

I have posed a question on my Face book page which reads: What is the underlying factor to know that you are walking in God’s will? Tell me what reassures you that you are doing what says the LORD for your life. This question also factors in with your talent or purpose. The answers varied but one determinant key point is to have a relationship with God to know your purpose, and then you will see provision for the vision God has given you. This is the central stem to applying your talent(s), no matter how big or small it is, and then continues to walk in your purpose regardless of fear, finances, or unbelief. Overall, God will show up in your behalf because you are living out your purpose on purpose through your obedience and willing to make the necessary sacrifices to give Him glory, whereas you will have peace beyond your own understanding. Others would see God’s favor and grace when you are doing your purpose which subjectively follows God’s will by completing the task He entrusted you with or put in you to do. Stay in tune with His blueprint that is specifically designed for your life.
