Marvin Winans, Jr. Image of a Man
Hailing from one of the most influential gospel family, The Winans. Who is also the son of Pastor and Grammy-award winning gospel recording artist, Marvin Winans, Sr. and gospel songstress, Vickie Winans. Marvin Winans, Jr. graciously took time out of his busy schedule to discuss candidly his evolution from that of a boy to man, — after marrying and having his first child.
Marvin reveals why he recorded his album “The Image of a Man.” The first single is the Caribbean-styled “You Never Let Me Down,” that was produced by Rodney Jerkins; would have great commercial success. The deep meaning behind the song and why Winans Phase 2 whose debut and only album, “We Got Next”, debuted at number one on The Billboard’s Top Gospel Album chart in 1999; may or may never record together again.
