The Sheard’s Reality Show

There is now a surge of gospel and faith-based reality TV shows, with show such as TLC’s The Sisterhood, Gospel recording artists Mary, Mary, has found success with their reality show on We TV. Well joining the list of reality shows are The Sheards, airing on the BET network, this is BET’s First Faith-Based Reality Show. The gospel industry maybe familiar with Grammy award winner Karen Clark Sheard, of the successful gospel recording group The Clark Sisters, her husband is Bishop John Drew Sheard, recently elected General Board Member of the Church of God in Christ and their two children, Kierra Sheard, who has found success a gospel recording artist and J. Drew Sheard who is a producer with N.E.R.D.

The show will highlight several areas in their lives, focusing heavily on the career development of their children Kierra “Ki Ki” Sheard, and J. Drew. “I want to take the gospel to a while different place,” Kierra stated in the video promo of The Sheards. While it seems her brother J. Drew wants to branch away from the gospel industry. “The world is so much bigger than that.” States J.Drew. The Sheards will be premiering on Sunday, April 7th at 10:00PM EST/9:00PM CST on Black Entertainment Television (BET) after the Celebration of Gospel.
