The Certain Ones: 40 pounds down, and you look absolutely amazing!

Brely Evans:  Why thank you so much! I feel a whole lot better. More energetic and excited about life. It’s really a good feeling to be down in weight today. I thought I was a happier person before. But, now I can tell that I wasn’t living life to the capacity; as I could have been at 200 hundred pounds.

The Certain Ones: Sometime when a person has been an plus size for so long. They have to reprogram their mind or thinking  from being that of a plus size figure to a regular size. I know you’ve newly lost your weight; does this hold the same for you?

Brely Evans: It is exactly the same. Jokingly my friends and I joke about it. I’d say ‘ohhh, I still have fat girl tendencies!’  But it is a serious thing because my mind and my consultant at Jenny Craig’s  tells me all the time “Brely your brain has to catch up with what your body has done.”

I sometime still get a little antsy when going to the mall to shop, even though now, I can still fit the clothes.  The things that larger girls has went through for years, your brain has to process, that  you can fit these clothes, go ahead and try them on.

The Certain Ones: How did you get connected with Jenny Craig?

Brely Evans: My steps are so ordered, it’s not even funny. I’d decided that I didn’t want to be the only fat girl; to walk down the red carpet for the movie premier of “Sparkle”. I thought well here is an opportunity to for me lose some weight and I had a few months prior to the movie coming out.  I knew I was not going to do it by going to the gym; I just do not like the gym, that’s just so boring to me. I saw the Jenny Craig commercial and called their 1-800 number like anyone else.  The person who picked up the phone, I told her I was an actress and wanted to lose weight, she immediately put on the phone to marketing department, the thanks thing I knew it, I am the national spokeswoman for their company!

 The Certain Ones: Has anything dramatic changed as far as how people treat you?

Brely Evans: More attention from the guys. I ask them, where you were 20 pounds ago! I have a new vigor for life. My family has joined the band wagon and are losing and eating better. If I don’t affect those around me, I can fall of the band wagon. The weight that causes disease such as diabetes can be control by what we eat and maintaining a healthy weight.
