The Presence Of The Lord

Article by Adrienna Turner

There are many times I am seeking the presence of the Lord. I will seek Him in the morning, noon day, and at night once the sun sets. I am seeking Him while at home; at work, at church, and everywhere I go. I seek Him when reading the Bible, listening to gospel/Christian songs, and in my quiet time. I even pray to receive his anointing, to bring His Holy Spirit in the atmosphere, and prayers to be answered for healing, deliverance, and when seeking answers. The Lord’s presence gives clarity to the mysteries and things unknown, comforting in the midnight hour when storms seem unbearable, and a feeling of peace that’s indiscernible.

As a prayer warrior, most of the time, I have to call on the presence of the Lord to be present. I need the Lord to provide godly wisdom, understanding, and knowledge in the situations as a group or individual that I’m praying for and making these requests known unto God. Sometimes, we can get too religious with our requests or speak too long to ask a simply thing to God. There is no fancy way to pray to God, just talk to Him as if He’s your friend.

Praying : Time to pray ask help to God and Jesus praying for salvation and better times after the crisis

Ecclesiastes 5:1-3 , GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

Don’t Daydream or Speak Carelessly When You Worship

Watch your step when you go to the house of God. It is better to go there and listen than to bring the sacrifices fools bring. Fools are unaware that they are doing something evil. Don’t be in a hurry to talk. Don’t be eager to speak in the presence of God. Since God is in heaven and you are on earth, limit the number of your words. Daydreaming comes when there are too many worries. Careless speaking comes when there are too many words.

Another translation: Ecclesiastes 5:1-3, New Life Version (NLV)

Do What You Promise

Praying : Beautiful Christian woman in deep prayer

Watch your steps as you go to the house of God. Go near and listen but do not give the gift of fools. For they do not know they are sinning. Do not hurry to speak or be in a hurry as you think what to tell God. For God is in heaven and you are on the earth. So let your words be few. For a dream come with much work, and the voice of a fool comes with many words.

Apostle Paul even suggests that less word is best, especially when speaking in tongues or a foreign language, that instead of speaking ten thousand words, it is better to speak in fewer words (five words) to get the message across. See this passage in 1 Corinthians 14:18-19.

The more the words, the less the meaning, and how does that profit anyone?” (Eccl. 6:11, NIV).

Abel, on the other hand, he was known as the lamb. Abel knew that his sacrifice at the altar was his very best and put effort in everything he had done to make sure of that while in the presence of the Lord. Therefore, this is a prime example that we also need to give God our very best and make whatever sacrifices to show God that we are living a purified, righteous, and holy life for him. We are putting ourselves at His feet, on the altar, and what a pleasant fragrance of a burned offering lies before Him.

“If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again. Then I will bring you into my presence so that you will be where I am” (John 14:3, God’s Word Translation).
