I love that song “It’s Working” by William Murphy. I don’t know what he meant by “prophesy with your body language”, but I do know I had that song on repeat for a whole month. Little did I know that God was downloading something I couldn’t imagine into my spirit and my life while I had that song playing. And that download was something I truly needed since I had so many.

You see, I’m just like you (maybe). Sometimes you sow and sow and don’t receive the slightest inkling that what you’re sowing is working for your good. You don’t want to quit, but you’re growing tired of working and sometimes toiling day in and day out with little or nothing to show for it. So what do you do to keep from quitting? You do what William Murphy did – you prophesy over the seeds you sow. You believe that God will bring forth the harvest you desire in His time, season and way. Let go of the “how and when” and hold on to the promise of God to never leave you, to never allow your seed to go begging for bread.

Maybe you’re a single parent who wants to be the one to break a cycle of broken homes in your family. Maybe you’re married to a spouse who has an illness that leaves you saying to yourself “I didn’t sign up for this” but you love them and hang in there anyways. Maybe you work on a job where you’re the only Christian and you’re mocked for your faith even though you’ve never pushed it on others. Maybe you have a child who wants to go left even if they know to go right, but you pray anyways without ceasing. Or maybe you’re military and people have no idea what you’ve suffered when they look you in the face and say “Thank you for serving this country”. Whatever you’re facing, be encouraged and don’t give up. You have the desire to break that cycle, love that spouse or child, pray or serve despite the hardships for a reason. The Word of God promises that if we don’t faint we will reap a harvest at the right time. Time is necessary from the point of sowing to the point of harvest to bring the harvest forth! So with that time, continue to fast, pray, love, praise and worship God, and live.

If you’ve already sown your seed, continue to watch over it. And God may even be calling you to sow more seeds! If He is just know that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
