TRUST HIM, ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, THEN WATCH HIM!

Trust

“Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord

With all your heart and mind

And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.”

Proverbs 3:5 AMP

We are facing hard times. Racial tension is very high. Children are cutting up. Sickness is still on the rise. Poverty hasn’t gone anywhere. People are exhausted. It’s during these hard times that many people turn away from God. They neglect God and try to figure it all out by themselves. But God tells us not to rely on our own insight or understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Why? We as humans are limited. We are imperfect creatures who don’t have all of the answers. Therefore, we’re subject to miss it.

But I know someone who is perfect…and He has all of the answers…and He always gets it right – GOD. He commands us in the above verse to “lean on, trust in, and be confident” in Him. God loves it when you trust in Him.

“In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.”

Proverbs 3:6 AMP

Not only does He want your total trust, but He wants you to acknowledge Him. The word “acknowledge” in the above verse means to say that you accept God as being real and you do not deny His truth or existence; to express gratitude or obligation; to recognize as genuine or valid. It’s to recognize God’s authority. If you trust and acknowledge God, then “He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.” In other words, if you will trust Him with everything and acknowledge Him in everything, then everything will be alright.

“As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.”

Psalm 18:30

When you look at the riots in Baltimore, you feel the hurt.

When you look at your finances, you feel the struggle.

When you look your health, you feel the pain.

But one of the most helpful things that will help you get free today is “knowing” that your future is absolutely assured by God. When you know that God’s got you, you’ll approach each day differently. Even though:

Poverty is there…

Sickness is there…

Fear is there…

You won’t let it affect your daily decisions because you’re focused more on where you’re headed.

“So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”

2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT

I pray that this article has encouraged you to keep your trust in God. No matter what’s going on in the world, in your city, or in your home, lean on God for support. Recognize Him and give Him glory as He straightens everything out.
