Why am I chosen? Have you ever questioned your calling in life? One moment you are self-assured, staunchly believing that you are treading the right path, the one God chose you for. Then suddenly, unexpected events occur, causing you to doubt yourself. These events have proven to be the trying of your faith and often leave you drained and thirsty for some much needed relief.

Have you ever felt imperfect and broken? Who would call a damaged person for an assignment? These assignments are not wanted. You do not want it. You did not ask for this. Self-doubt consumes you, and deeper you’re sinking into the vortex of disparity. Time passes; how long, you may never know, seemingly it’s as if no one notices your struggles. There is one who does and always will see your pain and struggles and He will never leave nor forsake you. Choose this moment to rise up; it may be slow at first; that’s OK. Just make the much needed move to rise up out of your tests.

How many times does it take to get clarity from the trials of life? Why does it take so long to learn a lesson? It is time to gird up and conquer. “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worked in us” (Ephesians 3:20). Cling to those empowering words because in truth; they are your lifeline. Realize that you are not powerless or helpless, you have a choice in the matter. You can rise up or stay down. When you believe those empty feelings will begin to dissipate, to be replaced by determination. Fortify yourself, stop doubting. You see, winners must block out external and internal noises to focus on the win. You must see yourself as a winning woman or man. It is time to stand still and deal with the situation (s). The truth be told; when you believe and endure, then at the appointed time, you shall gain strength; and shall emerge as the victor God chosen you to be. You don’t have to be perfect; He uses imperfect people to execute His perfect plans.

You can make it through your storm. I do not have the date or time for what God has set for you. However, I do know this — His timing is impeccable and purposed. You are His certain one. You are destined for greatness and favor. Stay encouraged. You are a testimony; tell it to someone who needs to hear it. You are victory personified so show your praise. You have a story in you. Tell your testimony — don’t be afraid, embarrassed or ashamed. You have been given something; you have endured and survived for someone, help them. Tell your testimony with confidence because someone needs to hear it. Someone is praying for your story. Don’t give up.
